Life is better when you’re laughing.

Here’s a chance to learn more about me.

It’s vital to know your coach’s background. Why? We all see our lives through a biased lens, due to our unconscious motivations, core fears, inner desires, as well as our unique upbringings, traumas, and experiences. Knowing where I come from will allow you to filter my words and actions so you can make better and more aligned choices.

This is your journey, not mine.

Hey y’all!

It’s really nice to meet you. Here’s a little about me.

I’m a Certified Professional Coach, an Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP), an Enneagram Practitioner, and I’m fabulous AF. I also founded, grew, and sold two companies, both temporary hospitality staffing companies: Alexander Staffing and Genuine Staffing. I had a team of more than 250 and proudly never worked more than 20 hours per week as CEO. I also placed the replacement CEO before joining the board, and then later selling.

I’m an expert on setting boundaries, finding balance, and prioritizing what’s important. I serve myself well so that I can serve others even better. I live what I preach.

If you know Enneagram, you won’t be surprised to learn I’m a Self-Preservation 7, part of the type 7 Enthusiasts. I’m energetic, highly optimistic, loooooove a good time, and love to feel good and bring you along the ride. Life is too short to not have fun!

I’m a sixth generation Texan. Growing up, I lived in small towns all over east Texas. To this day, I still have relatives in various smaller towns all across the state. I moved to Houston in elementary school and stayed there until I graduated.

For college, I went to the University of Texas at Austin and came into my own there. I came out as gay, met many of my best friends there, and joined two of my life’s favorite organizations, the Orientation Advisors and the UT show choir, Longhorn Singers. I got two Bachelor’s degrees: Communication Studies and Deaf Education.

After college, I moved to the center of the universe, New York City. My very first apartment was an amazing find in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan, just one block away from Times Square. I still live there today! (I’m as shocked as you are!)

Texas is very much a part of me, and my favorites make that clear, including: frito pies, Tex Mex, saying y’all, pulling yourself up by your bootstraps, keeping Austin weird, and eating Blue Bell ice cream and Lick Ice Creams until I explode. Oh and a HUGE value of mine is kindness (…as long as you don’t cross me).

I have a lap-friendly orange tabby cat named Timberlake and another super sweetie tuxedo-lover cat named Chasez. 😉 Some of my interests include practicing American Sign Language, traveling all over the world (30+ countries to date), collecting points and miles so I can do it in style, reading self-help books, casual astronomy, and figuring out how to have as many pique life experiences as possible!

I delve into the fascinating world of the Enneagram and its implications for self-discovery and personal growth within the LGBTQ+ community. Join me as I explore the nine personality types, discussing how they intersect with the unique experiences of queer individuals.

In this episode, I share my journey as a self-preservation Type 7 coach, exploring the balance between pursuing joy and nurturing my well-being. Join me as I reflect on the lessons learned from my experiences and offer insights that can help you navigate your own path toward self-discovery and personal growth. No better way to learn about 7s than here!
